Inventory Breakdown by Category Report

The Inventory Breakdown by Category report provides a detailed view of your inventory transactions, organized by category. It helps you understand stock levels, costs, and locations for each part.

Use this report to:

Analyze inventory levels and costs for specific categories.
Track parts are within different locations.
Understand the unit cost and total cost of inventory on hand.

Getting Started

Filters

Filters are located above the main report area. Use them in any order.

Filter	What It Does	Default
Category	Narrows down data to one or more specific categories.	All
Inventory Location	Filters by the storage location of the part.	All
Part Name	Filters by the name of the inventory part.	All
Site	Filters the data by the associated site.	All

Report Structure

This report details inventory breakdown by category, including part name, location, unit of measure, and associated costs.

Fields

Field	Description
Category	Indicates the classification of the inventory item.
Location	Identifies where the part is physically stored.
Part #	Displays the unique identifier for the part, if available.
Part Name	Specifies the name of the inventory item.
Unit of Measurement	Indicates the unit used to measure the part (e.g., each, box).
Qty on Hand	Shows the current quantity of the part available.
Cost Per Unit	Displays the cost of a single unit of the part.
Cost on Hand	Shows the total value of the available quantity. (Qty on hand multiplied by cost per unit)

Common Tasks

To review inventory for a specific category, filter by "Category."
To check stock levels in a particular location, filter by "Location."
To analyze the cost of a specific part, filter by "Part Name" and review "Cost on Hand."
